This spring semester, our class starts with the Industrial Revolution. Then to Imperialism. From there we will move on to World War 1, World War 2, and try to cover as many topics as possible.
Day to Day Instructions: Directions: For each class I will post what we did that period. Some days there will be book work assignments. Some days there will be powerpoints to review, notes to take, or some other assignment or activity to complete. Each day will be different. I believe that students do not like the same old, same old. Students will first find 4 examples of Propaganda. 2 must be from WW1 and 2 from present day(any form, commercials are excellent examples). Students will have to put each example on a word file or power point and explain each poster. Write a paragraph about each.

Research different Individuals during the WW2. Look for primary sources and individual stories. Create a presentation that shares these stories. Try to show how life was like for individuals during the WW2.
Musical
Create a soundtrack of at least ten songs that shows working and living conditions, social roles, propaganda, and the conditions of the time period. Design the cover of the CD as well as an explanation of why you selected those songs.
Drama
Write and produce a movie based on the life of someone living during the WW2. The person can be a soldier, Factor worker, woman, African American, or a family member of one of these during WW2. You can act out the movie or use software to produce it. You must write a script and present at the time of the presentation.
Technical
Many inventions were created during the WW2. Select three and create instructional/user manuals for the inventions. The manuals can be hand created or computer generated using software such as Publisher.
